Richard S. McAfee, 55, of Wooster passed away on Friday, June 7, 2019 at his home.
He was born September 20, 1963 in Wooster, Ohio, the son of Sherman and Illa McAfee. He married Julie Latecki on March 7, 1988. She survives.
Richard had worked as a truck driver for CRW Freight Management Services. He enjoyed fishing and loved to cook. He mostly enjoyed spending time with his family, and his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by his daughter Melissa McAfee of Wooster and his son Aaron McAfee of Glenmont; grandchildren Madison Johnson, Christian Johnson, Ryan McAfee, Haylee McAfee, and Isabella McAfee; and sisters Sandra Spahr and Val Rohr, both of Wooster.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Friends will be received 1 hour prior to the 4:00 p.m. funeral service on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.

  1. My thoughts and Prayers are with you Julie and the family. I’ll miss seeing him sitting outside or mowing the yard. Most of all I appreciate his helping me when I first got diagnosed with diabetes. He was a true friend and will be missed, Blessings to you and the family,

  3. I met Rick at dialysis. He was the first person to speak to me. He made me feel so much more at ease. I always enjoyed seeing his smile and will miss him greatly. I know you all will miss him so much. God bless you all.

  5. So sorry for your loss. I worked with Richard at CRW. He was a good friend. We talked a lot on the phone. He will be greatly missed.
