WOOSTER – Robert B. EFFRON, 81, of Wooster, died Sunday, January 20, 2008 in Akron City Hospital.
Born December 23, 1926 in Cleveland, OH, he was the son of Ben and Dolorez Hunt Effron. He was raised by the Gillman family of Smithville.
He was a public accountant. A Member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge and the American Legion. Served his country with the U. S. Navy during WWII. He spent the winters in St. Cloud, FL.
Surviving are his son, Jim (Jenny) Effron of Big Bear City, CA, a daughter, Debbie (Dan) Cusick of Placenta, CA, step-sons, Gary (Jeanine) Wertenberger of WoosterTom (Emma) Wertenberger of Dillsboro, NCgrandchildren Lisa, Scott and Shannon; step-grandchildren Kelli, Erika, Deseree and Drew; great-grandchildrenMadison, Riley, Samantha, Connor, Cami and Julia; sister, Sherle Palladino and a very dear friend, Sue Piciacchio and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Kauffman Effron on January 20, 2001.
