“Together Again”

Robert “Bob” Roberts, 83 of Wooster died Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare.

He was born April 21, 1935 in Greensburg, PA to Earl Harrold and Agnes Burns Roberts.  On July 16, 1960 he married Patricia I. Marinchek.  She preceded him in death in 2001.

Bob graduated from St. Vincent College in Latrobe, PA. and was employed at Rubbermaid. After retirement he was a doting grandpa and enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in sports.  He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.  Bob was an avid golfer who kept meticulous notes of his golf outings in his little black notebook.  He was a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and most importantly was a wonderful dad and grandpa, a kind, loving and generous family man.

Bob honorably served his country in the U.S. Army.

Bob is survived by his children Roberta Roberts of Matthews, NC, Vincent (Jill) Roberts of Wadsworth, Mary Agnes Roberts of Akron, Robin (Peggy) Roberts of Matthews, NC and Patty (Richard Thomas) Roberts-Ballard of Wooster; grandchildren Claire, Nicholas, John Robert, David, Aubrey, Vincent, Jake, Samantha, Katelyn, Jake, Nick, Joseph, Drew and Aaron Thomas; great grandchildren Bryson and Remington; a brother Bernard Roberts of Washington, D.C.  He will also be missed by the family dog Rudy, as Bob enjoyed all of Rudy's antics.

Along with his wife, Bob was preceded in death by his parents and siblings John, Earl, Richard, Betty Coup and Agnes Tehlia.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, May 21, 2018 at 3:00 PM at St. Mary Catholic Church, 527 Beall Ave., Wooster with Father Stephen Moran as celebrant.

Patty, Claire, Nicholas and Mary,
What a beautiful funeral service for your dad/grandpa. I am so sorry for your loss. I also knew Bob since I worked at Rubbermaid too. I stil remember visiting with him when he brought Claire to the Freedlander playground and she would play with Annalise. All of the sporting events he sat through for his grandkids. He will be missed. Another gentle soul is watching over you.
Blessings - Susan, Jeff and Annalise
