WOOSTER – Robert “Dean” Carr, 89, of Wooster passed away on Friday, February 14, 2020 at Brookdale Assisted Living.

He was born November 25, 1930 in Shreve, the son of Elmer and Alberta Barber Carr.  He married Patricia Ann Stewart on September 26, 1953.   She preceded in him in death.

He was a graduate of Perrysville High School class of 1949 and retired as a supervisor for Mansfield Plumbing Products in 1988.  Dean enjoyed fishing, walking and going to the casino.  He was a member of the Perrysville VFW and a 32nd Degree Mason of Loudonville Hanover Lodge #115.  He had lived in Loudonville from 1953-1988 and in Stuart, Florida from 1988-2018.

He proudly served his country during the Korean War and was a combat veteran earning 3 bronze stars.

Dean is survived by his daughter Becky (John) Bowman of Wooster; grandchildren Jason (Jackie) Bowman of Georgetown, Ohio, Jen (Michael) VanSickle of Worthington and Jes (Aaron) Coey of Cedarville; great-grandchildren John, Jenna, Justine Bowman and Layla and Juliet Coey.

In addition to his wife, Patricia, he was preceded in death by his parents, a son Robert “Bob” Carr and his siblings Jim, Bud, Linford and Herb Carr and Helen Burnett

There will be no calling hours or services.

McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.

Becky, I am sorry to hear about Dean. I thought of him often. He would come to see us when he came to Ohio I didn’t know he lived in Wooster.
Jimmy passed away about five years ago. My condolences to all your family.
