Robert E. Cocker 84 of Wooster, formerly of Vero Beach Florida, Buffalo New York, Erie PA, and Valencia CA died Saturday Nov. 21, 2009 in Wooster Community Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
He was born Sept. 6, 1925 in Kenmore New York the son of Thomas and Kathryn Dorsch Cocker. On Feb. 14, 1948 he married Joy Ailinger who survives.
Robert worked as salesman for Nestle Company retiring in 1984 after 30 years. He served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and was an avid trumpet player and golfer.
Also surviving are his children: Tim (Carla) Cocker of Webster NY, Jeff (Peggy Brown) Cocker of Homer Alaska, Becky (Jay) Lesch of Hamburg NY, and Kathy (Ray) Hartmann of Wooster. 8 grandchildren: Jon Cocker, Jennifer Cocker, Annalee Cocker, Laura Lesch, Megan Lesch, Jill Hartmann, Lindsey Hartmann and Jack Hartmann.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Tom Cocker and a sister Jane Cocker.
Memorial contributions may be made to any Hospice Organization in his memory.
