Condolences

My heart felt sympathy to all of Bob's family. I will miss him.

Greetings from North Carolina and just listened to the voicemail message Monday night that Bob had passed. My prayers are with the family at this time and I know he will be sorely missed. Bob and I met due to the sport of trapshooting and he shot at both the Spartanburg Gun Club in South Carolina and the North Carolina Homegrounds near Bostic NC. It was always great to see him and to talk about assorted topics when we had time to spend together. He managed to break a 96 in the handicap event at the Hall Of Fame Shoot in NC and tied my running buddy JC Nunn that resulted in them going an extra round to finish the tie. I have pictures of that event and will forever be fond of that memory of the two shooting together. I managed to get Bob's phone number and even though he wasn't traveling and shooting like he really enjoyed I still managed to call him to see how he was doing. This last time I called to leave a message I thought it odd that he didn't return the call and now I know why. He was a great man and friend and I will be posting his info and pictures on www.tarheeltrap.com so that people can see him enjoying the sport he loved. So long my friend and I will see you on the other side.....

Donna, Sarah and Miles, Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. May the wonderful memories memories and the love you shared bring you some comfort during this difficult time. Bob will be missed. All our love to you!!
Renee, Al and family.

Dear Donna and Sarah, I am so sorry for you loss. Bob, was always such a kind man. We were so lucky to have him as a neighbor in Medina. Prayers and hugs to all of you.

Dale and the rest of the Batke family: So sorry to hear of Bob's passing. He was one of "the good guys." He was the first journeymen I ever had the privilege of working with as a new apprentice 48 years ago with Hatfield Electric. The "Batman" was a lot of fun to both work with and for, which I had done multiple times. His unique sense of humor was always appreciated. I especially enjoyed introducing "Johnny Carson's cousin " to the guys around the job. Sorry that a previous appointment prevents me from attending the memorial service. My sincere condolences to the Batke family.
