WOOSTER “ Roger Darrell Flinner, 78, of Wooster passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.
He was born March 15, 1939 in Coshocton, the son of Darrell Edward and Goldie Brown Flinner.   He married Joy L. Mizer on September 3, 1965.   She survives.
He retired from RexRoth as a Bore-Matic operator after over 30 years of employment.   Roger enjoyed woodworking, planting trees and gardening.
He proudly served his country with the US Army from 1961-1963.
In addition to his wife, Joy, he is survived by his children, Rodney (Tina) Flinner and Regan Flinner both of Wooster; grandchildren, Kassidy (Anthony) Lamb, Savannah, Tiana, Garrett and Benjamin Flinner; great-grandchildren, Annalisia, MacKenzie and Brycen.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 from 6-8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Daniel Owolabi officiating.   Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
