WOOSTER – Our beloved mother, Rosemary Catherine LANG, 92, of Wooster, stepped aboard the Angel Express to eternity on Thursday, December 11, 2008 at the Wayne Co. Care Center in Wooster.
She was born January 26, 1916 in Wooster the daughter of Leo and Susan White Riffle.
Rosemary was a homemaker. She attended St. Mary’s School and Wooster High School. During WWII she epitimized Rosie the Riviter at Buckeye Aluminum. She was well known for her gardening and flowers, baking and generosity. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.
Surviving are her children, Margaret (Thomas) Bernard of Millersburg, Del (Susan) Lang, Joanne (Clyde) Ebert and Carolyn (Eugene) Modarelli all of Wooster, Dr. Jean (John Holtam) McSweeney of Little Rock, Ark and June Lang of Long Island,NY; 14 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and a sister Blanche Aman of Akron.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ray Jacob Lang, in 1997 whom she married September 3, 1937, 2 brothers and 6 sisters.
There will be no calling hours.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church on Monday, December 15, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Stephen Moran officiating. Interment will be in the Wooster Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, Wooster Corps, 437 S. Market St., Wooster, OH 44691 or Wooster Twp. Fire Department, 1917 Millersburg Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family with arrangements.
