Ruth M. Butler, of Wooster, OH, died Sunday, April 5, 2009 at Sunrise Assisted Living.
She was born June 30, 1919 in Wayne County, daughter of the late Elmer A. and Alma L. (Lawrence) Hoffman.
Ruth worked as a Claims Manager in the Unemployment Office in Wayne County and was also a realtor. She enjoyed being hostess to many family gatherings, traveling, card playing and gardening.
Surviving Ruth are son, James H. Butler and his fianc?e Harriet Guiccione of North Ft. Myers, FL; daughters Janet L. Turner of Seville, Bonita K. (Richard) Stahl of North Canton; sister, Helen Culbertson of Akron; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Along with her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn E Butler; son in law Gerald E. Turner; daughter in law Patricia J. Beeler-Butler and brothers Wayne L. and Paul A. Hoffman
Funeral Services will be held at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 East Larwill Street, Wooster, on Thursday, April 9, 2009 at 1:30 PM with Dr. Brent Durham officiating. Interment will follow in the Moreland Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday April 8, 2009 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
