WOOSTER – Ruth M O’HAIL, 92, of Wooster passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2009 in her home.
She was born April 10, 1917 in Funk, the daughter of John Curtis and Jennie Bower Barden.
Ruth was a homemaker and had worked at Freedlanders and Howkins Market in the Produce Dept. She was an active member of the Smithville United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her daughters, Pat (Tom) Henshaw of Smithville and Vickie L Wittkop of Dover, grandchildren, Chris (Debbie) Wittkop, Bethany (Allen) Olmstead, Erin (Jay) Martin, Megan Henshaw and Tom Henshaw; great-grandchildren, Lexxe Parsons, Elsie and Jake Olmstead and Olivia Wittkop.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Walter O’Hail, in 1996, and siblings, Clayton Barden, Catherine Hostettler, Flo Lutz, Dorothy Eagle, Grace Swartzwalder, twins Howard & Harold Barden and Jennie Schrock.
Friends will be received one hour prior to the 10:30 service on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at the Smithville United Methodist Church, 243 N. Milton St., Smithville with The Rev. Keith Peachey officiating. Entombment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster.
McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family with arrangements.
