Ruth Marie PALMER, 89, of Wooster died Friday, March 6, 2009 at Wooster Community Hospital.
She was born February 3, 1920 in Wooster the daughter of the late Grover and Emma Withrow Cherry.
Ruth worked at the former Montgomery Ward and was a cook at Mom’s Truck Stop at The College of Wooster .
She was a member of The First Church of God.
Surviving are son, Gary (Bonnie) Palmer of Wooster, 2 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 2 step great-grandchildren and brother, Richard Cherry of Wooster.
Along with her parents Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Guy Palmer in 1990; sisters Lucille Nirode, Lavonne Franks, Helen Winston and Pauline Snure; brothers Eldon Cherry and Tom Cherry and a great grandson Seth Alan Crabtree .
Services will be held at 1:30 pm on Tuesday March 10, 2009, at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill Street, Wooster with Rev. Ken Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Wooster Cemetery
Friends will be received from 12:30pm until the time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
