Sandra J. Austin, age 84, of Dalton, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Aultman Hospital in Orrville, following complications due to Covid.
Sandra was born on May 6, 1937, in Wooster, Ohio, to Kenneth and Ruth Lown.  In addition to raising 3 children, she worked as a Hostess for Ramada Inn for many years and as a cashier at Lowe ™s for 20+ years where she loved meeting people and making new friends.
She loved music and often thought she was the next Tammy Wynette or Loretta Lynn.
Surviving are two daughters, Tina Morris of Shreve, Tammy (Steve) Mallett of Shreve; grandchildren, Grant Austin of Chicago, Il, Eric (Stephanie) Austin of Apple Creek, Jasmin (Josh) Gravius of Wooster, Logan Mallett of Shreve and 3 great grandchildren, Aiden Austin, and Jaxon and Ava Gravius.   She is also survived by her sister Judy Findlay of Farmington, MI.
She was preceded in death by both parents and her step-father, Howard Switzer. Her son, Kenneth R. Austin Jr. and former husband, Kenneth R Austin Sr.
A private family service will be held at Wooster Cemetery. McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home are handling arrangements.
