SMITHVILLE – Sandra K LAYFIELD, 53, of Smithville, died Sunday, March 16, 2008 in Wooster Community Hospital after a courageous 14 year battle with lung disease.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill Street, Wooster, OH, on Wednesday from 7-9:00 P.M.
Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home, Thursday, March 20, 2008, at 1:00 P.M. with the Rev. Paul Farren officiating.

Born June 7, 1954 in Clarion, PA, she was the daughter of Brady Russell and Miriam Blake Jones.
She was a homemaker and had worked in the office at Shelmar for a number of years.
Surviving are her husband, Clyde A. Layfield, her children Russell (Megan) Layfield of Marshallville, Michelle (Eric) Bower of Wooster, Melinda Dyer and Greg Layfield both of Carey, OH and Mark Penniger; 6 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; a sister, Bonnie Himes and a brother, Willis Himes both of Clarion, PA and a half brother, Carl Pettigrew of Jamestown, PA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Steven and a brother Daniel.
