Sandra Kay Keener, 79, of Creston, died on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at Accord Care Community in Orrville.
She was born June 26, 1941 in Wayne County to R.E. and Violet Kahn Amos.   On November 22, 1963, she married Richard O. Keener.   He survives.
Kay had worked in the customer service department at Prentke Romich for many years.   Kay enjoyed going to casinos and playing cards, traveling, spending time with her family and watching her grandkids sporting and 4-H events.   She also an avid sports fan.
Along with her husband, Richard, Kay is survived by her son Kevin R. (Joyce) Keener of Creston; grandchildren Kolton and Kendra Keener and sisters Elizabeth œJo  France of Wooster and Peggy Smith of Columbus; along with many nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in law.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Karla Sue Keener; siblings Vernelle Dilyard and Carol Wolf.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 from 5:00-8:00 Pm at Mohican Church of the Brethren, 7759 Elyria Rd., West Salem.   Masks will be required and social distancing will be observed.
Private family services will be held with burial in Fairhaven Cemetery.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.

  2. Sorry for your loss. I worked with Kay at Seaman Corporation several years ago. She was always ready with a smile and a good laugh. Could lift your spirits up in a minute. Such a beautiful soul. God Bless you and give you comfort.

  3. Kevin Keener & Family: I am so very sorry to hear about your Mom. I will be thinking of you all in the days ahead. Prayers of peace for you and to remember the memories with your mom that make you smile. Hold on to those times. I promise that the tears will eventually change into smiles.
