ORRVILLE – Sawyer Joshua Carpenter, 7, of Orrville passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at his home.

He was born January 28, 2011 in Orrville the son of Jaromy and Kathryn Carpenter.

Sawyer was a 2nd grade student at Orrville Elementary School.  He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion in Marshallville.  He loved people, laughing and snuggling with his family.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his siblings, Hayden and Ashton both of the home; his maternal grandmother, Margaret Logan of Orrville; paternal grandfather, Ernest Carpenter of Marshallville; great-grandmother, Patricia Carpenter of Marshallville; aunts and uncles, Rachel (Aaron) Henderson of Orrville, Calie (Matthew) King of Tiffin, Jay Shrader of Orrville and Michael Carpenter of Marshallville; cousins, Isaac Henderson, Jaycob Shrader, Riley King, Aubrey Carpenter, Ma’kiyah Carpenter and Victoria Davis.  Numerous great aunts and uncles, cousins, teachers and class mates also survive.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Robbie Carpenter, paternal great-grandfather, Wilbert Carpenter, maternal great-grandmother, Louise Smith and his great uncle Will Ault.

A celebration of Sawyers life will be held on Sunday, January 27, 2019 from 2-5:00 p.m. at the Orrville Elementary School Cafeteria, 605 Mineral Spring St., Orrville.

I was so sorry to hear of Sawyer’s passing and send my deepest condolences. I never had the pleasure of meeting Sawyer but from what I’ve read in your posts on Facebook he was a terrific, wonderful little boy. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
