Scott William Chapman, 59, of Wooster died Saturday, May 06, 2017 at his home.
He was born January 3, 1958 in Meadville, PA to Thomas S. and Joyce C. Heath Chapman.   On June 19, 1982, he married Stacey Shelly.   She survives.
Scott graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Music Education. He was a private music teacher for over 30 years and a band instrument repair technician for 32 years at Larry ™s Music.   He was also a very active member of Central Christian Church.   He served on a number of committees at the church, was the church school secretary, assistant treasurer, deacon, chair of the deacons, elder, chair of the elders, life elder, elder emeritus and chair of the board.   He also served as the choir director for 15 years, led and co-led 10 Disciple Bible study groups with over 50 people attending and filled in as a guest minister over 10 times.
Along with his wife , he is survived by his daughter Daria (Tim) Porreca of West Chester, PA; grandchildren Tim Jr., and Sydney Porreca; a sister Sarah (James) Slover of Wooster along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at 7:30 PM at Central Christian Church, 407 N. Market St., Wooster with Rev. J. Alexander officiating.  
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 5:00-7:00 PM at the church.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
