WOOSTER “ Sharon I. Thomas, 72, of Wooster passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at Ohio ™s Hospice LifeCare in Wooster.
She was born March 19, 1948 in Wooster the daughter of the late Pete Garn and Margaret Howman Anderson.   She married Neil Thomas on November 16, 1969.   He preceded her in death on January 27, 2021.
Sharon had worked at Freedlanders as a sales clerk for many years and then retired from the Housekeeping Dept. at Smucker ™s in 1999.   She loved traveling, crafting, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are her children Jennifer (Matt) Yockey of Orrville and Michelle (Barry Haigler) Foster of Springfield; grandchildren Jarrod (Sabrina) Derflinger of Wooster, Kendallyn Foster of Grove City and Aspyn Haigler of Springfield and great-grandchildren Isabella and Carter Derflinger.
In addition to her husband, Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Larry Garn and Wendy Garn.
There will be no calling hours and private graveside services will be held at the Reedsburg Cemetery.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.

  3. So sorry to see that one of my childhood, neighborhood friends has passed. Sharon was so kind and so sweet. Condolences to her extended family. She is reunited with Neil.

  5. I am so sorry for your double loss. Your Mom and I shared a hospital room together when Jennifer and my son were born. We always enjoyed seeing each other and Sharon always had such a warm smile and personality. Prayers for your whole family.

  10. We are so saddened by both your parents untimely deaths. Dave was a friend of your dad from the National Guards and I became a friend of you mom during you girls’ days at Chester School. Fond memories of all of you that we hold close and will always cherish. May God bless you as you deal with all that’s ahead. We’ll hold you close each and every day in our prayers.
