  1. We were neighbors until my parents died in 1976. Steve was a brilliant, witty, talented individual. He was a devoted audiophile with in depth knowledge of electronics. We shared a party line and Steve would regularly let me know when time was up. I spent time in the garage, marveling at what he could produce. Steve respected women and was devoted to his mother, Aunt Blanche and his grandmother.

    RIP Steve.

My sincere condolences to the family of a kind, gentle giant.

I met Steve at Gerstenslager‘s after I graduated from vocational school and welding, 1972, I was hired to do framing on bookmobiles and Steve took me under his wing so to speak, he harassed me constantly but in a really good natured way and we became good friends. His love of stereos was was known by many and I remember when he got his first Bose speakers and had all of us younger guys , hippies he called us come to his house and listen to some good music he really was a very sharing person. He taught me a lot of tips on metalworking at the time I worked there . when I quit and started a Leather shop he was one of my very first customers and I made him items that that he would take and use in Canada Fishing, he really was a good soul many people will miss him.
