WOOSTER “ Stephen L. Zollars, 63, of Wooster went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, morning, November 1, 2016 at his home.
He was born January 18, 1953 in Millersburg, the son of Marvin and Dolores Didinger Zollars.   He married Diane Figley on June 29, 1974.   She survives.
He retired from the Timken Company after 33 years.   After retirement, he took a new job to watch his grandson, Owen, who was the love of his life, then a blessing from God and he got to enjoy a special little granddaughter, Isla, who came into his life.   He loved his family and the Lord.   He was blessed to have a special friend, Tim Guthrie, who was so generous and planning to donate Steve a kidney.
In addition to his wife, Diane, he is survived by a son Todd (Jenna) Zollars of Wooster; grandchildren, Owen and Isla Zollars; a brother, Dave Zollars of South Carolina and sisters, Debbie (Gregg) Kunkler and Lorilei Strother both of Wooster; brothers and sister-in-law, Dennis (Rena) Figley and James (Shirley) Figley both of Wooster and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and in-laws, Marion and Barbara Figley.
Friends will be received Friday, November 4, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until 12 noon at the Ripley Church of Christ, 12298 Co. Rd. 330, Big Prairie with funeral services to follow at 12:00 noon with the Rev. Tom Benter officiating.   Burial will be in the Ripley Church Cemetery.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
