WOOSTER – Tommy R ADKINS, 66, of Wooster passed away Thursday, April 2, 2009 at Wooster Community Hospital.
He was born May 31, 1942 in Huntington, WV, son of Pearlie and Rose Mines Adkins.
He was a carpenter by trade and had been disabled for the last 30 years. Tommy was a jack of all trades and was full of advice and wisdom and enjoyed woodworking and riding mototcycles.
Surviving are wife, Louana Yoakem Adkins, whom he married August 8, 1988; his children Tommy Adkins of Japan, Crystal Adkins and Butch Adkins both of Arizona, Tamika Adkins and Kelly Adkins of Texas, Josh Adkins and Cody Adkins both of Wooster, Donald McCaffery, Ronald McCaffery and Sandra McCaffery of Texas and many grandchildren and a brother, Bud Adkins of Texas.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, sons, Timmy Adkins and Virgil McCaffery and a sister, Mary Travis .
A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday, April 5, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at 461 Spink Street.
McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family with arrangements.
