WOOSTER - Tracey Wayne VARNS, 57, of Wooster, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017.

He was born September 26, 1960 in Wooster, the son of Roger E and Dorothy Brammer Varns.

Tracey was a self-employed farmer and mechanic and had been a Wayne Twp. Trustee for many years.  He was a member of the OSTPA and the NTPA.

Surviving are his mother, Dorothy Varns of Wooster; his siblings, Suzanne (Tom) Robart of North Lawrence and Rochelle Varns of Canton; a sister-in-law, Debbie Varns of Wooster and his significant other, Carrie Roberts.

Tracey was preceded in death by his father and a brother Roger D. Varns.

Friends will be received 2 hours prior to the 1:00 p.m. service on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with Mr. Jeff Smith officiating.  Inurnment will be in the Canaan Cemetery.

We are so very saddened by this news. Tracey was a wonderful man, always friendly and smiling and we would see him often driving up,to the shop. Our prayers to the whole family. May God strength be with you.

I am very sorry to hear of the passing of cousin Tracey. He farmed the part of Grandpa Varns' farm that came to me and my sisters (through our mother Elaine) on our behalf for 30 years. I saw him this summer for the first time in many years and he was the same cheery guy as ever. My heart goes out to Aunt Dottie and cousins Shelley and Sue.

So sorry for your loss. He was a great guy who would help anyone. Pulled with him at Riceland Pulling Club many years ago. You will be missed.

Tracey was such a kind, generous, and fun-loving influence on everyone around him. There is a huge void created by his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone that calls him friend or family. I will definetly miss his sense of humor most of all.
