Valena Lou Snowden, 83, of Wooster died on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at Ohio ™s Hospice LifeCare.
She was born January 25, 1937 in Brazil, IN to Richard and Sadie Swanson Pollom.  
Valena was a homemaker and her grandchildren were her everything.   She was the best grandma!
She is survived by her children Joseph (Jean) Snowden of Corona Del Mar, CA, Sara (Daniel) Walsh of Rancho Santa Fe, CA, Mansanette Snowden of Wooster and Jessica (Bob) McLean of Wixom, MI; grandchildren Melissa Jo Koch, Jennifer Bossi, Joe Snowden, Jr., Jilynn Richardson, Hans Tyler Hofe, Alex and Kelly McLean; brothers Rev. Jim (Janelle) Pollom and Rick (Lek) Pollom and many nieces and nephews.
Valena was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles in 2003, sisters Donna Irwin, Victoria Yocum, Elizabeth Osborn, Penelope Knapp and brothers Richard (her twin), Charlie, John, Tom and Matthew Pollom.
Memorial services will be held at a later date at the Meadow Green Cemetery in Huron.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.

I am really going to miss Valena~she & her daughter Manse are my neighbor~she brought much laughter & smiles on my gloomiest kinda day~I am so blessed I got to have a short visit with her before her passing~I know she is at peace & with her loved ones~you just don’t have neighbors like Valena~my heartfelt sympathy goes out to her family & especially my friend, her daughter Manse who took such good care of her mom~my thoughts and prayers are with you all~
