WOOSTER “ Volanda Julia œSis  Mowrer, 97, of Wooster passed away at West View Healthy Living.
She was born July 12, 1921 in Wooster, the daughter of Harry Hab Wilson and Annadale Barnes Mowrer.
She had worked for Cedar Valley Hunting and Fishing Preserve, Huffman Mink Farm and had been a potato digger.   She was a member of the Church of God.   œSis  enjoyed pony racing, trick riding and roping and was very competitive in stakes and barrels.   She was an avid mushroom hunter and a member of the Saddle Club.
Surviving are nieces and nephews, Nancy (Stan) Firebaugh of Wooster, Ira (Joetta) Mowrer of Wooster, Linda (Jeff) Cherry of Burbank, Mary (Jon) Clark of Wooster and a sister-in-law, Ethel œJudy  Mowrer of Wooster and many great nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents and siblings, Harry W. Mowrer, Jr., Harold W. Pete Mowrer and Lester E. Ed Mowrer and a nephew John Edward Mowrer.
Friends will be received 1 hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. service on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with Rev. Dave Kinkel officiating.   Burial will follow in the Wooster Cemetery.
Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Ohio ™s Hospice LifeCare, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
