WOOSTER - Wayne D Thomas, 65, of Wooster, passed away Monday, April 10, 2017 at his home following a period of declining health.

He was born January 19, 1952 in Cleveland, the son of William D and Doris Longville Thomas.  He married Kathryn A. Gall on December 5, 1981.  She survives.

He was a self-employed painting contractor. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and outdoor activites.

Proudly served his country with the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War and with the US Army from 1974-1977.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Kathryn, are his children, Andrew Thomas  and Brandi (Richard Becker) Thomas both of Wooster; a granddaughter, Thalia Becker and a sister.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.
