WOOSTER “ Wayne Sigler, Sr., 87, of Wooster passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at West View Healthy Living.
He was born July 28, 1931 in Killbuck, the son of Gale and Grace E. Sydle Sigler.   He was married to Marlene Daugherty Sigler for 54 years.   She preceded him in death on December 23, 2010.
He was a union painter for 40 years retiring in 1993.   He loved hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting, taking country rides and sitting on his front porch feeding the squirrels.
Wayne proudly served his country with the U.S. Army.
Surviving are his children, Margie Byrd of Wooster, Milton Sigler of New Orleans, Nancy Sigler of Wooster, Wayne Jr. (Mary) Sigler of Wooster and Regina (Richard) Foltz of Wooster; 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and siblings, Christena Dix of Mt. Vernon and Charles Dix of Wooster.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Donna Sue Jackson and siblings, Raymond Dix, Bob Sigler, Milton Sigler, Don Sigler and Steve Dix.
Friends will be received 1 hour prior to the 2:00 p.m. service on Friday, February 8, at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with Pastor Kirk Fairhurst officiating.   Private family burial will be held.
