WOOSTER – William J HANLON, 65, of Wooster, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2010 in his home.
He was born June 9, 1944 in East Liverpool, the son of William E. and Elinore Zimmerman Hanlon.
He was a member of the Nazarene Church, American Legion Post 68 of Wooster and enjoyed fishing. He served his country with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
Surviving are his wife, Peggy Ann Lamp Hanlon, whom he married February 17, 1968, his sons, Chad (Jessica) Hanlon of East Liverpool and Bryan A Hanlon of Wooster, 10 grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, a brother, Dale E Hanlon Sr. of Steubenville and a sister Judith Farnsworth of East Liverpool.
William was preceded in death by his parents, a son, William J. Hanlon Jr. in July of 1987, a brother, Ernest Hanlon and a sister Dorothy Cameron.
There will be no calling hours.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family with arrangements.
