WOOSTER “ William Lee œBill  Raby, 76, of Wooster passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2020 at The Avenue of Wooster.
Bill was born August 10, 1943 in Wooster, the son of Paul C. and Lela Rickabaugh Raby.   He married Twyla Sweigert on May 9, 1964.   She survives.
He retired from Borg Warner/Rexroth after 43 years of employment.   He formerly attended the Blachleyville Church of Christ.   Bill loved farming (sheep) and bowling and was a former member of the Elks Lodge.
He proudly served his country with the US Army from 1966-1968.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Twyla, is a daughter, Rachelle (Patrick) Provence of Wooster; grandchildren Ashley Provence and Michael Provence, Jr.; siblings Fred (Gloria) Raby of Ann Arbor, Dorothy œDotti  Udell of Wooster and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Thursday, February 6, 2020 from 5-7:00 p.m. at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 7, 2020 at Noon at the funeral home.   Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Seville.

  1. Bill was a very giving man with an easy smile. Many years ago he helped me get my first lawnmower delivered and going. He’ll be missed a lot. My sympathy for his family and friends.

  3. I worked with Bill for over 30 years, he was a honest, kind and a friendly person. I enjoyed visiting him at the Avenue. He always had a smile for everyone. He will be missed.
