WOOSTER – Wylma I. LEAMAN, 92, of Wooster, died Wednesday, September 10, 2008 in Horn Nursing Home.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill Street, Wooster, OH, 1 hour prior to the 1:00 P.M. service on Saturday, September 13, 2008 with the Rev. Bill Eshelman officiating. Interment will follow in Wooster Cemetery.
Born June 17, 1916 in Pine City, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Fred and Marqurita Yung Dodge.
She had been the lunch counter manager at the former Newberry Store and worked as a cook and waitress until she was in her seventies. She enjoyed bingo, country bands and conversing with the staff at Horns or other residents because everyone was so friendly.
Surviving are her children Jeanne Higgs of Wooster, Roger (Karen) Johnson of Independence, IA, Brian Johnson of Wooster and Terry (John) Cerny of Jeromesville: step-sons Ronnie (Joanne) Leaman of Wooster and Lonny Leaman of Florida; 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Leaman, a daughter Joanne Miller, brothers Carl, John and Bill Dodge and a sister Doris.
