Yvonne “Toni” Molter, loving Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, passed away April 29, 2022, at the age of 96.

Toni was born August 14, 1925 to Harry and Edna (Weiss) Schaffter in Mount Eaton, Ohio. After finishing high school, she completed her degree at Wooster Business College. Toni married John C. Molter in 1948 and they had two children, Mindy and Mike in 1955 and 1957 respectively. They lived in Lexington, Ohio where Toni worked in purchasing at Essex until returning to Wooster in 1974. Toni retired from the Wayne County Veterans Service Office. She was involved with People to People ministries and also volunteered her time at Trinity United Church of Christ.

Toni loved to play cards with her friends and tend to her flower beds and gardens. She was adventurous and fun loving, even water skiing when she was 70. She loved driving her son’s muscle cars and was always ready to go on a trip

What Toni was best known for was her love of family. Her family fondly remembers many holidays and other special occasions spent at her home. All were welcome at her home, and she made everyone feel like they were part of the family. She especially loved spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids. Everyone knew if there was a sporting event, concert or any other activity, Toni would be in the stands. She was the glue to the family and always put them first.

Preceded in death by her husband and her daughter Mindy Saner as well as her siblings, Rex Schaffter, Dorothy “Dot” Jolliff, Kate Snure, Norman Schaffter, Min Wrecenyar and Richard Schaffter.

She is survived by her son Mike (Denise) Molter of Wooster; Grandchildren Kathi (Mike) Cannon of Wooster, Kristin (Eric) Pennington of Oxford, Ohio, Jessi (Matt) Dunham of London, Ohio, Nicole Guthrie of Sterling, Leah (Steve) Ice of Apple Creek; Great grandchildren Amanda, Isabel, Grady, Elia, Weston, Audrey, Will, Megan, Lincoln, Scarlet and Colton; long time friend Judy Irvin and many other family and loved ones.

Prayers Mike for you and your family.Toni was a great neighbor and friend.

So sorry to read Toni has passed. She was a great neighbor to my late husband, Hal, and I when she lived on Indian Run Drive. You have my sincere sympathy. Yes she definitely enjoyed her family. I remember the "chalk" markings on her driveway where her grandchildren played hopscotch. Toni would collect our mail for us if we were away and we would collect hers. I remember one year she visited Hawaii. Toni also made the best lemonade..very simple recipe but it was good and refreshing. Again my sincere condolences to her family and friends.
