WOOSTER – Dennis L. Denny SAURERS, 56, of Wooster, died Tuesday, February 5, 2008 in Akron City Hospital.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill Street, Wooster, OH, on Friday evening from 6-9:00 P.M with an Elks Memorial Service at 5:30 P.M.
Services will be held at the Funeral Home, Saturday, February 9, 2008, at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Rufus Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in Wooster Cemetery.

Born April 20, 1951 in Ashland, OH, he was the son of Irvin Dale Shorty Sr. and Nancy M. Musselman Saurers. Following high school, he attended college for a short time and then served in the Ohio National Guard. He married Charlene (Rose) Saurers on September 11, 1976. She survives.
He spent the greatest part of his working career as the Park Manager for Prairie Lane Lake Park. He was a member of the Wooster Elks and received the honor of Elk of the year twice. His passion was cooking and he loved to entertain.
Dennis was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He would put anyones needs above his own in a heartbeat. He enjoyed the simple things in life, doing his crossword puzzles each morning and cooking for his family on Sundays. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his mother Nancy Saures; his sons, Paul (Janet) Dawson and John (Carey) Dawson and daughter, Danielle Saurers all of Wooster and a, daughter, Regina (Jim) Morlock of W. Salem; grandchildren Alicia, Chandler, Payton, Braylon and Nathan Dawson, Colby Morlock and Dillon Morlock; brothers, Irvin Dale Jr. Sonny Saurers and a half brother Harold Mike Saurers both of Wooster.
He was preceded in death by his father and a half sister, Treva Smith.
