WOOSTER – Warren E. RAMSEYER, 87, of Wooster, OH, died Monday,September 22, 2008 in Smithville Western Care Center.
Private Family Services will be held. There will be no calling hours..
McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family with arrangements.
Contributions may be made to the Cerebral Palsy, c/o Wooster Elks Lodge, 335 N. Market St., Wooster, OH 44691.
He was born November 26, 1920 in Smithville, OH, son of John and Ida Krabill Ramseyer.
Warren worked as a farmer and retired from the City of Wooster Water Department. He was a member of the Oak Gove Mennonite Church, the Wooster Elks and the Wooster Exchange Club and the A.W.W.A.
Surviving are daughters, Judith Sockman of Cleveland and Carolyne (David) Haynes of Marshallville, OH, grandchildren Kathryn and Robert Coolidge, Douglas and Dena Sockman and Elliott and Jennica Shaffer; great-grandchildren Raina and Mara Sockman and Alexander Ryan Shaffer.
Warren was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Dorothy Zaring Ramseyer on April 1, 1992 and sisters Zelta Royer and Arzula Rudy.
