WOOSTER – Elsie Hite, 101 of Wooster, OH died Monday, February 8, 2010 at the West View Manor Nursing Home.
She was born February 1, 1909, in Oakwood, Illinois, the daughter of James P. and Nettie Nabors Altman. She married Nolan E. Hite, September 24, 1933. He died July 19, 2000.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Wooster, Ohio. Her passion was sharing life with Nolan her husband of 67 years and caring for all her siblings with her huge loving heart.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster. There will be no calling hours. A private family graveside service will be held at Oakwood Cemetery, Oakwood, Illinois.
Elsie leaves behind 12 nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends who all loved her.
In addition to her husband, her parents, six sisters and three brothers preceded her in death.
Memorial contributions made be made to the Nolan and Elsie Hite Scholarship fund at Taylor University, Indiana, The United Methodist Church of Wooster, The Wayne County Community Foundation, The Salvation Army or a charity of the donor’s choice.
