WOOSTER – Harold W. GEIOGUE, 91, of Wooster, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2010 in West View Manor Nursing Home.
He was born January 7, 1919 in Millersburg, the son of Ross and Edna Nethro Geiogue.
He had been the manager of the Singer Store in Wooster for 11 years, then to White Sewing Machine Co. in Cleveland as a regional Sales Manager in Dallas Texas and Louisville, KY and then spent 11 years with Sears in Wooster. He was a member of American Legion Post 68 in Wooster. He served his country with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific aboard the USS Norman Scott, a destroyer, receiving 4 battle stars for Major engagements..
Surviving are his wife, Helen F. Cusack Geiogue, whom he married July 27, 1946; his children, Hal (Sherry) Geiogue of Sacramento, CA, Harold (Barb) Geiogue of Wooster, Bill Geiogue of Akron, and Judy Nutter of Wooster; 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, A son Michael, sisters, Gertrude Robb, Emma Dumolin and June Geiogue.
Graaveside Services will be held at Reedsburg Cemetery on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at 3:00 p.m.
There will be no calling hours.
McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family with arrangements.
