Christian B. Geiser, Jr., 88, of Wooster died Friday October 15, 2010 at Akron General Medical Center following a short illness.
He was born in Orrville, October 19, 1921 to Christian B. Sr., and Bertha Moser Geiser.
He graduated from Orrville High School in 1939.
He was a farmer all his life and farmed in partnership with his brother-in-law, Jones Alexander for 35 years former Wayne County Soil Conservation Service supervisor, served as a director of the former Wooster Equity and served on Farm Bureau Board.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, the former Justine Alexander whom he married December 4, 1949; two daughters Christine (Scott) Vagedes of Tipp City; Caryn (Tom) Dyer of Wooster; five grandchildren, Emily (Keith) Dugan of Ludlow, KY, Benjamin (Stefanie) Vagedes of Marietta, GA, Melanie Vagedes of Tipp City, Michael and Alison Dyer of Wooster, a great-granddaughter, Joanna Vagedes of Marietta, GA. Also surviving are sisters Doris Swinehart of Wooster, Lucille (Edward) Randall of Northboro MA, Lois (Byron) Gerber of Orrville, Virginia (Hal) Cocanower of Greenville, SC and a brother, D. Stanley (Rusty) Geiser of Indianapolis, IN.
His parents and a brother Howard Geiser, died previously.
Visitation Monday 5 ? 8 pm at McIntire, Davis and Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster. Service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday October 19 at 11:00, with The Rev. Charles Kammer officiating. Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery. .
