WOOSTER – Shirley Jean MCDOWELL, 65, of Wooster, passed away Monday, November 29, 2010 in her home.
She was born October 25, 1945 in Wooster, the daughter of Ray W and Edna V Shriver Mairs.
She had worked at Rubbermaid and in the Credit Dept. at Pioneer National Latex. Shirley was an avid gardener, loved flowers, enjoyed walking and riding her bicycle. She was also an avid Cleveland sports fan.
Surviving are husband of 38 years, Paul Butch McDowell, daughters, Carla (Jeff) Smith of Bakersfield, California and Vickie (Rod) Stone of Wooster; 6 grandchildren; brothers, Max (Betty) Mairs and Neal (Karol) Mairs both of Wooster and a sister, Janet (Marion) Miller of Shreve.
Shirley was preceded in death by per parents.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Thursday evening, December 2, 2010 from 7-9:00 p.m.
Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, December 3, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Robert Moskowitz officiating. Interment will follow in the Plain Cemetery, Wooster.
