Eva Wirt, 90, of Moreland, Oh went home to celebrate with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Saturday January 22, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family. Eva was born in Homes Co., to Odos and Holace Wagers on September 4, 1920. She married Boyd Scott Wirt on November 10, 1940. They were married for 53 years. Eva lived most of her life in the Moreland area, helping her husband Boyd with their business, Wirt Tractor Sales. She had a radiant smile and warmth that was shared with everyone she came in contact with. Her home was always a welcoming gathering place for family, friends, and neighbors; where one was always welcomed and surrounded by food, kindness and laughter.
Eva was a strong and giving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. In additions to her loving passion for family and friends, she was an avid gardener, Wayne Co. Fair lover and traveler; always living each and every day to its fullest.
In Eva?s passing she has left a legacy through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and everyone that knew her.
Eva was proceeded in death by her husband, Boyd Wirt, son-in-law John VanSickle, grandson Orry Wirt and brothers Al and Bill Wagers.
Living is sons Lloyd (Rea) Wirt, David (Angie) Wirt; daughters Norma VanSickle, Sandra (Dennis) Carr and Lisa (Donald) Morrow; grandchildren Scott Wirt, Kim Morrow, Alisha Wirt, Chris Kauffman, Cathy Kick, Cherrie Tyson, Cassandra Carr, Brandon Morrow, and Josh Morrow; and great grandchildren Riley Wirt, Derrick Morrow, Courtney Morrow, Payton Kick, Mitchell Tyson and Brittney Tyson; siblings Fayona Richeson and Robert Wagers.
Funeral Service will be Wednesday January 26, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Moreland United Methodist Church with Rev. Bob Stull officiating. Interment will follow in Moreland Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the church.
McIntire, Davis and Greene Funeral Home, Wooster is assisting the family.
