Roy Snoddy, Jr., 87, of Wooster died Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Wooster Community Hospital.
He was born June 3, 1923 in Wooster, the son of Roy Sr. and Ada Smith Snoddy.
He was a graduate of Chester High School, a life long resident and dairy farmer in Wayne County and a life long avid fan of the Northwestern Huskies, a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church where he held various positions, past president of the Northwestern Boosters Club, a former treasurer of the New Pittsburgh Cemetery Assn.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Eloise M. Thorley Snoddy, and children Barbara Ann (Roly) Price of Langdon, New Hampshire, Keith Roy (Rebecca Grenert) Snoddy of S. Portland, Maine and Daniel David (Christine Voelkel) Snoddy of Athens; 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and a sister Grace Martin of Wooster.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Ellen Strauss, Carl, Howard, Donald and a stillborn infant.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 from 7-9:00 p.m.
Services will be held Thursday, February 10, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Peter Lutheran Church with Pastor Mel Kirk officiating. Burial will follow in the New Pittsburg Cemetery.
