Erdine Lucille Maxwell Mellert of 5100 Sharon Road, died on Saturday, February 12,.2011 at Sharon Towers. She was born in Washington, PA on March 28, 1920.
Mrs. Mellert was preceded in death by her husband, Robert and two sisters. She was
a graduate of The College of Wooster, Wooster, Ohio, class of 1942. Erdine and Bob were married in September 1947. They moved to Charlotte in 1978. Shortly after the Mellerts moved to Charlotte, they organized a College alumni group and helped arrange other College activities in the area, Erdine and Bob volunteered for the campaign of The College of Wooster. The college honored Erdine and Bob for their devotion with the John D. McKee Alumni Volunteer Award in 1994.
Erdine was a member of Myers Park Presbyterian Church and was active in the Senior Adult Group as well as other activities. She was an avid tennis player, and also served as a volunteer for the Mint Museum and a member of the auxiliary.
Mrs. Mellert is survived by a special niece, Rebecca Moore, of Washington, PA.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, February 18, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster, OH, with burial at Wooster Cemetery. A memorial service will also be held at Myers Park Presbyterian Church on Friday, March 11, 2011 at 11:00 A.M.

Memorial service will be held on Friday Feb. 18, 2011 @ 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home and at Myers Park Presbyterian Church on Friday March 11, 2011 at 11 am
