WOOSTER – Elnore M.Yeater HABERBOSCH, 96, of Wooster, passed away Thursday March 17, 2011 in Wooster Community Hospital.
Elnore Yeater Haberbosch was born in Moundsvile, West Virginia on July 22, 1914. She was the only child of Margaret and Otis Yeater. She married Earl J. Haberbosch on September 24, 1938 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Cleveland, Ohio. He preceded her in death on May 10, 2001. They lived in the Cleveland area until 1982 when they moved to Wooster where they spent their remaining days. Both of them enjoyed traveling in the US and abroad.
Elnore did a great deal of volunteer work in the community, especially for Meals on Wheels and the Wooster Community Hospital. She had many hobbies and her skills at sewing, crocheting and jigsaw puzzles were put to use for baby layette outfits, lap robes for shut-ins and for checking the condition of puzzles for the AAUW/Kiwanis Book Fair. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church.
Elnore and Earl were the parents of two sons, David and Leonard. She is survived by her son Leonard and his wife Pat of Lumberport, WV, a daughter-in-law Gwen Groenewald of Bloomington, Illinois, six grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. She is also remembered lovingly by many good friends in Wooster and throughout the United States.
In addition to her husband, Elnore was preceded in death by her parents, and son, David E Haberbosch.
There will be no calling hours.
Memorial Services will be held at the Zion Lutheran Church of Wooster on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. A Memorial Service and burial will take place at a later date in West Virginia.
McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family with arrangements.
