WOOSTER – Suzanne HAMLIN, 77, of Wooster, passed away peacefully at her home with family and friends by her side after a long illness on Sunday, April 17, 2011.
She was born April 20, 1933 in Ashland, the daughter of Boyd Raymond and Florence Glorene Gill Miller. She married Clarence Hamlin on April 26, 1952. He survives.
She had been the head cook at Yaco’s for many years. Suzanne attended the Moreland United Methodist Church where she had been very active over the years. She will be remembered by family and friends for her kind and loving spirit..
Surviving in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Chrissy Sue (Johnny) Roston of Tacoma, Washington, grandchildren, Seth Adam and Aaron Matthew Gray and Benjamin Eugene Hamlin; great-grandchildren, Blake Hamlin and Lemya Cox; her siblings Wilbur (Nancy) Miller, Dixie Lee (Keith) Fisk, Rosalie (Merritt) Thornhill, and Millie (Carl) Yacapraro all of Wooster and many, many nieces and nephews.
Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Samuel Eugene Hamlin, sisters Betty Hassinger and Diana Watson and a brother Roger H. Miller.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster 1 hour prior to the1:00 p.m. service on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Larry Black officiating. Interment will follow in the Reedsburg Cemetery, Wooster.
