Edward K. Maiwurm 68, of Wooster died Saturday June 4, 2011 at Akron City Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 9, 2011 at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home with Rev?s Larry Black and Dwight Hays officiating. Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday evening where an Elks service will be held at 4:30 P.M.
He was born May 7, 1943 in Wooster the son of Vincent and Mildred Yenne Maiwurm and on Ocotber 9, 1966 he married Nancy Wagner who survives.
Edward worked for Rubbermaid as an accountant for 26 years, at McIlvaine Trucking as a billing manager, Hedstrom in Ashland as a credit manager all this while serving as a licensed realtor and auctioneer.
He was a member of the Wooster United Methodist Church, The Elks Lodge, The Eagles, the Loyal order of Moose and the Lamplighters. He enjoyed playing billiards, cards and loved telling jokes.
Also surviving are his three children: Julie (Michael) Shetler of Crestview Forida, Jay (Kim) Maiwurm of Wooster, and Janell (Kevin) Cooper of Wooster. Grandchildren: Claire, Luke, Brooke, Tiffany, Colton, Seth, Caleb, Olivia, Garrett, Jaicee and Jayla. A sister Meredith (Duane) Hart of Wooster. Preceding him in death were his parents.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
