WOOSTER – Virginia M. HUFFMAN, 86, of Wooster passed away Thursday, June 30, 2011 in Glendora Health Care Center.
She was born May 24, 1925 in Wooster, the daughter of Merle and Mary Rutter Alexander. She married Donald E. Huffman on July 24, 1947. He survives.
She graduated from the Miami Hospital School of Nursing in Dayton in 1946 and had been a registered nurse at Wooster Community Hospital for a number of years. Virginia was a member of the Plain Lutheran Church and a former grange member.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her sons, Michael Eugene (Sharon) and Steven J. (Kathy) both of Wooster and Jeffrey D. (Debbie) of Lodi; 13 Grandchildren, 11Great-Grandchildren and a Sister, Margaret Cox of Wooster.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents and a brother William Alexander.
Friends will be received 2 hours prior to the 2:00 p.m. service on Sunday, July 3, 2011 at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster with Pastor Jerry O’Brien officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery.
