Stephen Richard œMagic Potion Blough went to meet œThe Man Upstairs on Friday, March 9, 2012 at Wooster Community Hospital.
He was born May 12, 1960 in Wooster, son of Richard J. and Yvonne Lichteberger Blough. He worked at Bauer Ladder, Shell Gas Station, International Paper Co., and as a œMaintenance Technician at various locations in Wooster.
Left to cherish his memories are his only child Brittany (Robbie) Blough Gum of West Virginia; his life companion and soul mate Teresa Brodeur of Wooster and her two children Ashley of New Jersey and Brent of Wooster; his brother Jeffrey (Mary Ann) of Sagamore Hills and his sister Carol (Gary) Condry of Wooster, his grandchildren Chloe Richelle, Jasmine and Jordan Gum all of West Virginia and Savanna Marie of New Jersey; his aunts Rose Mary Altland, Gale (Walter) Sniff and Wilma Hoffman; his uncles Dale (Millie) Blough, Bob (Ginny) Lichteberger ; nieces Heather, Amy & Jill and their children; a very special cousin Debbie Hoffman; also his œPupper Dog Brutus and cat Roxann along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents Albert and Hila Lichteberger and grandparents John and Mabel Blough.
He was a free spirit who followed his own path with quick wit and a slow and steady pace. He loved spending time with his family especially his granddaughter Chloe. He enjoyed talking on his radios and listening to his scanner, making sure his yard looked good was a top priority to him, the bushes not so much. He was a kind and gentle man. He was deeply loved and will be missed dearly.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, his family requests that cards with memories of Steve be sent to his daughter, Brittany Gum, RR1, Box 36B, Beverly, WV 26253.
