WOOSTER – Mary Maxine BECKER, 92, of Wooster, passed away Monday, April 30, 2012 in Brookdale Place Nursing Home in Wooster.
She was born March 17, 1920 in Wooster, the daughter of Russell and Mary Lawrence Kerstetter. She married Harold Becker on May 27, 1944. He died September 24, 2006.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Wayne Presbyterian Church where she was a Sunday School teacher for many years and a member of the Wayne Presbyterian Women’s Missionary, a member of the Eastern Star and the Wayne Twp. Housekeepers Club. She enjoyed camping, golf and her grandchildren.
Surviving are her children, Robert Becker of Wooster, Barbara (Jeff) Dilyard of Jeromesville, Richard (Marsha Corll) Becker of Upland, Indiana, Ronald (Jenny Shipe) Becker of Smithville and Scott Darcy Dice) Becker of Wooster; grandchildren, Curtis Dilyard, Adam, Alex, Ken, Frank and Thomas Becker; great-grandchildren, Christopher and Grace Becker and a sister, Fran Baggett of Marietta, Georgia.
In addition to her husband,Mary was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson Christopher Becker and a brother, Buss Kerstetter.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Wednesday evening from 6-8:00 p.m.
Services will be held at Wayne Presbyterian Church, 7152 Burbank Rd., Wooster on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Robert Meyer officiating. Interment will follow in the Wayne Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the Wayne Presbyterian Youth Camping Fund, 7152 Burbank Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
