WOOSTER – Carol M FLENNIKEN, 70, of Wooster,went home to be with the Lord after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at home with her family by her side. She was born August 14, 1941 in Wooster, the daughter of Homer and Marie Arns McComas. She was a private in home health care provider for the last 30 years. Carol attended the West Hill Baptist Church, was a member of the Wooster Moose and the Barberton Moose Lodges, enjoyed collecting teddy bears, helping others and spending time with her family and friends. Surviving are a daughter, Deb (Mike) Wall and a son, Tim Mullen both of Wooster; grandchildren, Kevin Wall, Adam Wall, Kristen Mullen and Courtney Mullen and her fiancé, Ronald Hutton. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Jeff Mullen in 1984, brothers, Larry McComas and Charles Lawson and her step-father Gaylord Powers. Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Sunday, July 15, 2012 from 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the West Hill Baptist Church, 2241 Mechanicsburg Rd., Wooster on Monday, July 16, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. with the Revs. Dan Wingate and Josh Seafkow officiating. Interment will follow in the Sherwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Hospice & Palliative Care of Greater Wayne Co., 2525 Back Orrville Rd., Wooster, OH 44691 or to the American Cancer Society, 525 N. Broad St., Canfield, OH 44406.
