WOOSTER “ Joan Parsons Good, 80 of Wooster passed away at Brenn-Field Nursing Home, Orrville. She was born to Guy and Ruby Parsons in Lakeville, Ohio, on May 16, 1932. She had lived in the Wayne County area the first 35 years of her life. She had been employed at Cedar Lane Farms and Howard Johnson ™s Restaurant. After that, she had worked in numerous states across America specializing in the Hotel & Resort industry to include Florida, Massachusetts, Michigan and Pennsylvania. In the last 13 years of her working career at Naples, Florida, she was a property manager for the CEO of Libby Toy Co. and Cinpac, a military shipping Co. After retiring she returned to Ohio to enjoy time with her family. She enjoyed her time traveling the beaches of Florida along the Gulf coast and spending time with her family and friends. Surviving are her daughters, Pamella (Larry) Way of Wooster and Kathleen Felton of Baytown, Texas; 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Eileen Pagniano of Wooster, Vivian Leaman of Orrville, Robert Leaman of Lakeland, Florida and Karen Meadors of Denison, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Paul Sprang and Larry Leaman and one grandson, Eric Campbell. Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster 1 hour prior to the 1:00 p.m. service on Friday, August 24, 2012 with Hospice Chaplain Bob Hafhill officiating. Private family interment will be held at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Greater Wayne Co., 2525 Back Orrville Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
