WOOSTER – Essie Golden PATRICK, 78, of Wooster, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Hospice House in Ashland. He was born June 27, 1934 in Tioga, West Virginia, the son of Essie H and Bethel Fowler Patrick. He married Annie Mullins on January 18, 1954. She survives. He had been a tree trimmer for Nelson’s Tree Trimming for 10 years. Essie was a member of the Mt. Zion Church of God. He enjoyed his church and gardening. Surviving in addition to his wife are his sons, Donald Patrick and Peter Allen Patrick both of Wooster and Essie Jr. (Patricia) Patrick of Elbert, Colorado; 2 grandsons, 3 granddaughters, 2 step-grandsons, 1 step-granddaughter; 1 great-grandson, 4 step-great-grandsons, 2 step-great-granddaughters; brothers, Jacob (Judy) Patrick of Alabama, Lonnie (Diane) Patrick of North Carolina and sisters, Vina (Golden) Mullins of Warsaw and Beverly Patrick of Alexandria, Ohio. Essie was preceded in death by his parents. Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Monday, September 3, 2012 from 6-8:00 p.m. Services will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mt. Zion Church of God, 837 S. Geyers Chapel Rd., Wooster with the Rev. Tom Geissinger officiating. Burial will follow in the New Pittsburg Cemetery. Those who wish may make contributions to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
