WOOSTER – James R Houser, 93, of Massillon, Ohio, passed away November 30th at West View Manor in Wooster. He was the son of Earl and Grace (Bahl) Houser. Preceding James in death are his wife Doris (Hines) Houser, brother Raymond and sister Mary Hickin. Survivors include his 3 loving and devoted sons, Tom (Char) Houser of Westlake, Phil (Pat) Houser of Punta Gorda, Florida, Don (Sue) Houser of Massillon; 7 grandchildren, Bob (Krissy), Kevin (Kristen), Katie (Alex), Shannon (Greg), Megan (Mike), Christine (Richie), Kelly; 7 great-grandchildren; brother Robert of Ocala, Flordia; his loving companion of the last 12 years, Hilda Wacker and her family; nieces and nephews and the devoted and caring staff at West View Manor who became part of his extended family. He was a member of Oak Chapel United Methodist Church, Valley College Grange, Ohio Bell Telephone Pioneers and Land O Lakes Wally Byam Caravan Club. Honorably discharged in 1945 from the U.S. Army having served in the Aleutian Islands during World War II, and retired from Ohio Bell Telephone Company in 1980. Jim loved gardening, camping and cutting down trees. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Oak Chapel United Methodist Church or West View Manor, both of Wooster. Visiting hours will be held Sunday, December 9th, from 3:00-5:00 at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill Street, Wooster, Ohio.   Funeral Service will be held Monday, December 10th, 10:00 a.m. at Oak Chapel United Methodist Church, 4203 West Old Lincoln Way, Wooster, Ohio. Interment will follow the service at Wooster Cemetery.
