WOOSTER – David Carl FIXEL, 56, of Wooster, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at his home. He was born June 17, 1956 in Cleveland, the son of Andrew and Lois Anderson Fixel. He was an engineer on ships on the Great Lakes and was a member of the East Union Lutheran Church. David served his country with the US Navy from 1975-1978 and with the Merchant Marines from 1990-2007. Surviving are his mother and step-father Lois (Frank) Toth of Leesburg, FL, step-daughter, Sarah Fixel of Wooster, sisters, Martha (Kirk) Jacobson of Painesville Twp., Ohio and Rebekah (Joe) Koudelka of Twinsburg, Ohio, a niece, Jen Koudelka and a nephew, Jeffrey Koudelka. David was preceded in death by his father. Friends will be received on Sunday, December 16, 2012 from 4-7:00 p.m. at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster. A Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 17, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the East Union Lutheran Church, 7063 Lincoln Way East, Wooster with the Rev. Rob Moskowitz officiating. Inurnment of cremains will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Middleburg Heights, Ohio.
