Gertrude Christian- Burbank “ Trudy Christian, 83 passed away in her home Jan 8, 2013. Trudy was born May 18, 1929 in Toledo, OH. Her parents Robert Belusa and Margaret (Grambow) Belusa moved the family to Tawas, MI where she grew up and graduated from high school. She met the man of her life Andrew Christian when he returned from service in India, and they married July 31, 1929. They moved to Ohio and raised their children in Avon and Vermillion, OH.   She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Rudolph and sister, Erma Snider. She is survived by her loving husband Andy who resides at Burbank Parke, sons Rudy Christian his wife Laura Saeger, David & Robert Christian, Florence, OR and daughter Linda (Jim) Schwed. Grand children, Dakota his wife Lindsay, Eowyn, Travis & Seth in OR, Leila, Maurice in CA & Carson and his wife Johannah in OH. And also great grand children Kiara & Anise in OR & Elizabeth in CA. Trudy made friends easily and was very successful for years as a top sales person for Sarah Coventry . After years of buying good homes and together making them even better she and Andy retired and threw themselves into building their final home with help from their tradesmen sons. She loved being in the woods, processing firewood, gardening, landscaping, riding on the tractor with Andy and entertaining friends and family. She had a gift for decorating and an excellent eye for color. She and Andy had years of fun together searching for and collecting antique marbles and made many friends in many states. She felt the best years were the ones they spent œon the road in their motor home with their dog visiting National Parks on their way to & from visiting with their children and their families. Trudy loved the outdoors and was moved by the grandeur of a mountain range, a river, the ocean or a tiny flower blooming in the desert. She looked forward to sightings of deer, wild turkey and song birds right outside her window. She treasured the new friends she made while sharing Andy ™s care at Burbank Parke. But nothing made her happier than to have all the family around her.   Services for Trudy will take place at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster Wednesday Jan. 16.
